Moringa is a fast-growing, drought-resistant tree of the family Moringaceae, native to the Indian subcontinent. Common names include moringa, drumstick tree, horseradish tree and ben oil tree or benzolive tree. It is widely cultivated for its young seed pods and leaves used as vegetables and for traditional herbal medicine.
Different people experience contrasting sensations when consuming moringa. Some feel spiritually awakened, others simply more awake. Indians, Greek, Romans, and Egyptians each claimed multiple benefits to the consumption of this tree leaf. Indians used it to purify water, Greeks used it to soften skin, Romans as perfume, and Egyptians as sunscreen. Some cultures even go so far as to call it the miracle tree. In Ayurvedic medicine, it is said to cure over 300 types of ailments. Each civilization found that moringa was edible and found that it had more nutrients than many other plants. Moringa has more vitamin A than carrots, more calcium than milk, more iron than spinach, and more potassium than bananas. And then there are the libido claims.
